These Skills Will Unlock Limitless Designs
This is an ADVANCED class.
You'll be able to create your own artwork or work with a provided design to digitize and make an entire coordinated collection of vector-based designs. Make WAY more designs than you need and edit down to your favorites as you create stitch-ready executable files.
Why Coordinated Collections?
You'll be able to cohesively quilt designs where blocks have their own personalities. Whether that is a fat quarter-based quilt or sampler quilt, having a coordinated set of designs will allow every element to match without being identical. Coordinated sets are also awesome for that instance when you know THIS block is going to look fantastic, but you wished there was a border or edge-to-edge design to compliment feel of the project.
You will need a solid working knowledge of PS Designer. It will help if you've tried some of the digitizing and drawing classes here at the Quilty Quill, too.
While developing hundreds of designs for ProStitcher.com, Jen honed a process which allows you to maximize your skills, time, and art elements to create a lovely grouping of designs. The best part: Each student will create unique motifs as you progress through this class. Learn the whole process in this course.

These classes are hosted by Jen Eskridge. Prior to the Quilty Quill, Jen managed and launched Quiltable.com, which rolled into ProStitcher.com. You can find over 1,000 digital designs created by Jen on the Pro-Stitcher website. She's developed bag and box projects, simple edge to edge quilting designs and elaborate wholecloth projects.
Prepare to dive into the world of art + vectors + quilting designs with this collection of courses.
Techniques in this class are largely adapted from Jen's book, Free-Motion Framework, published by C&T Publishing. The concepts are quite similar in that we start with a frame or guidelines to then draw within our chosen shapes. The book focuses on free-motion quilting within a frame.
This Digitize Art and Make Coordinates is modified to include additional steps which allow the quilter to have a finished vector-based designs for computerized longarm quilting.
