To say the Quilty Quill is a passion project is an understatement. This website and course content is born out of the mind of Jen Eskridge. Jen has long taught sewing and quilting in-person. With the events of 2020, of course, many more classes moved online. In 2020, Jen was working in marketing, remotely, for Handi Quilter/Pro-Stitcher and really saw a need for this specific type of quilting/designing online content.
Quilty Quill: Let's take the computer skills, sewing skills, quilting skills, and drawing skills and roll them into one fantastic place!!
The Quilty Quill domain name was purchased on April 10, 2024 and has grown steadily since then. Developing a wonderful and supportive customer/student base, building on suggestions from friends and coworkers, and focusing on easy-to-consume classes, we've added over 60 courses in the first 6 months.
With Jen's experience running an ecommerce platform, lecturing around the country, and managing a blog site since 2008, we are aiming to bring you something really special at the Quilty Quill.
If you have specific questions, please check out the FAQ page, or email Jen directly at quiltyquill@gmail.com.
Jen is the founder of Quilty Quill and first instructor on the website.
But what about Jen BEFORE the Quilty Quill? Glad you asked! We have a handy little timeline here with some of the career highlights. ➡️
She invented the Seamingly Accurate Seam Guide, is the author of 5 quilt books, and is published in numerous magazines with her brand ReannaLily Designs. (see below) Shop Jen's Books On Amazon.
Jen worked for Nancy Zieman Productions until 2017 and moved to Handi Quilter/Pro-Stitcher shortly thereafter. While working with Pro-Stitcher Jen became quite proficient at drawing and digitizing artwork for the computerized longarm environment.

**Yes, in the above photo I took off the little "antenna bobbles" of a Dollar Store headband and added little color images of my book covers to walk around the first, QUILTCON 2013.
