Irish Chain Quilt Pattern Included!

Make the Irish Chain quilt, which measures 42” x 54” or simply take the class to learn the designing process. The quilt piecing pattern is included in the course handout.

Focus on creating designs for free-motion quilting motifs within the negative space of the Irish Chain pattern.  Various grid options are provided for inspiration.
      • Envision a grid based on the negative space of 13 squares
      • Isolate shapes by dividing the space into interesting sections
      • Four grid options are presented for design inspiration
      • The design process encourages creativity and experimentation with shapes

Start drawing designs symmetrically, emphasizing the importance of practice and comfort with the design before transferring it to fabric.
     • Draw within two shapes for symmetry
•Use a large 2-page grid to align and create designs
•Trace the final design onto the quilt using water-soluble markers
•Consider using guidelines in the design for stitching
•The marked lines will wash out

You'll have all the tools, resources, and methods to finish an amazing Irish Chain Quilt.
